Platform billing

What Happy Voice charges you, and what happens if payment fails.

This page is about what you pay Happy Voice. What your restaurants pay you is Payments and pricing.

How the plan works

A platform plan has three parts:

  • A base price, monthly or yearly. Yearly is discounted.
  • A number of included restaurants.
  • A per-restaurant overage for every restaurant beyond that.

Current figures are shown on the Plan step during onboarding and under Billing in your dashboard. They're set by Happy Voice and can change, so they aren't quoted here.

How overage is counted

Only active restaurants count. The overage quantity is recalculated whenever you add or remove one, and the change is prorated by Stripe — add a restaurant mid-cycle and you pay for the remainder of that cycle, not a full month.

Removing a restaurant reduces the count the same way.

What isn't in the plan

Your Twilio and xAI usage. Those bill directly to your own accounts — see Credentials. Speech-to-text and text-to-speech are included.

If payment fails

Your business moves to past-due, and then to suspended if it isn't resolved.

A suspended business becomes read-only. You and your restaurants can still sign in and read everything — call history, orders, customers, settings — but nothing can be changed, and the agents stop taking new orders.

Billing pages stay fully usable while suspended, specifically so you can pay and recover. Nothing is deleted. Service resumes as soon as payment succeeds.

Managing your subscription

Billing in your dashboard opens the Stripe billing portal, where you can update your card, view invoices and download receipts.
